About me
As an artist, Radmer is self taught. He started drawing at the late age of 21 and felt an immediate connection. His painting is mostly done in oil. He is influenced and inspired by the natural world and uses his observation of its varying patterns and textures to explore human archetypes. His paintings also draw on his extensive travel experiences, through which he delves into fundamental existential questions. He defines his art in the following way: “Ärt is an intentional self-expression of subjective life experience that encourages the exploration of our collective universal existence.”
Born and raised in South Africa. Radmer says, "I have traveled to many countries to appreciate our diverse planet and my creativity allows me the free-flow expression that helps me to translate my environment. Very interesting time to be painting."
Work / Education
Radmer is a self-taught artist. He is also the founder & co-ordinator of the global art project Art-Go-Round. He developed Art-Go-Round as a platform for exploring collaborative art with other artists and the public. For more, go to www.art-go-round.com. He has been a participant in the Art-Go-Round annual exihibition 2014-2018 ( S.Korea/India/South Africa).
Since returning to South Africa to live (2016), he has started to participate in local initiatives and exhibitions e.g. KZNSA Members exhibition 2018.
He now expresses his creativity in a number of ways, including mural art and live painting.
