About me
Hi, I'm Shriya Pusalkar, residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. I'm both an artist and a printmaker. I love to work with different mediums and techniques rather than just to work on a canvas or a sheet of paper. i find it challenging and interesting to materialize a feeling or an intangible thing through art. Art for me is nature according to an individual's perspective, it can be very personal and at the very same time universal and true to the heart. I love to work in drawings which are the initial step to creating any work or body of art. It helps to visualize the work and also create a language to initate your work with.
Work / Education
I recently completed my degree of Bachelors of Fine Art (B.F.A.) in Painting and Drawing Department year 2014-2018 from Sir J.J. School of Art, Mumbai. My Major subjects in the final year were Mural Painting and Printmaking with Creative Painting. I have a good technical knowledge and practice of many techniques such as Drawing, Painting, Portrait Painting, Serigraphy (Screen Printing), Woodcut, Lithography, Etching and Viscocity, Wall paintings and many more extensively used techniques for durable and exterior things.
