About me
I'm Bianca Nicolescu, a Bucharest based bohemian who spends her days daydreaming of greener pastures and higher consciousness realms, while also trying to make the best out of the mundane material land, working on various design and photographic projects.
I don't know, truly, the nature of the flame that drives me and my need for artistic expression, but one thing is for sure, our minds have endless potential to wave and entwine the physical reality and thus, to create thousands of different other worlds. It would be a pity not trying to get them out, right?
My path, like any other's, has been unclear and rugged, but paved with positive expectations and an overall sense of wonder and amazement at all that this time-space reality has to offer. Somehow, things have fallen into place in the lovely "kairos" moments that defined my life and my adventure so far. For me, they happened to be in the artistic field, connected to drawing, graphic design and all sorts of visual works. To be honest, I believe that my need and desire for freedom from social terms like work, job, family, duty, authority and so on, manifested in a handful of opportunities that made me be able to perform and be quite fulfilled as a freelancer, thus being able to decide where and how my energy will be spent.
Everything I know so far came out of play, of experiencing different techniques and mediums, in the quest to find the best way to translate the wonderful chaos that I experience as part of this collective consciousness. I am still searching.
On a more technical side of things, I am in love with digital design and the vast array of possibilities that it gives me. I like the perfection of shapes and shades that you can acquire in vector graphics for example, or the way you can creatively blend different shapes and images in Photoshop. The projects that I have created so far range from, logos, branding, posters, brochures, promotional stands, etc. to ink drawings that were used for a movie intro animation and a lot more.
