About me
A childhood full of drawing and painting pioneered an artistic future. My works reflect inspired appreciation of the traces of the changing landscape in the flow of time. My work begins with remembering the traces of the changing landscape in the flow of time. The scene that is embodied in the work is in the form of a new painting created from collecting and combining glimpse of memories. Sometimes it’s recorded in the form of the line of mountains, blank space of the sky, footsteps of the shadows, along with the bits of landscape. As the sun sets, the shadows of the mountains I saw when passing by, the sparkling sunlight shining in the river, the colors that hold the fragrance of the seasons, the traces of outline, or the colors are stored in the memory. I record the shape of trail of memory as a drawing or a photograph prior to starting the work. Based on these records, I create a sensuous and primitive landscape by using a collage that adds and elevates the layers in colors and shapes in the forms of unconscious scenery and remnant images of memory.
I currently lives and works in Seoul, South Korea.
