Boby Prabowo uses the word Kagunan Brutal, meaning “Dysfunction” in Java, to describe his practice of sourcing and assembling a blank range of imagery, figurative and Expressive strokes, from interchange social perspective, and Local wisdom, especially in the Folk lore of Javanese .
Like work by German Expressionsm, Art Brut, and Conceptual art, Boby’s paintings, with their bold shinken brush strokes, and expressive painted imagery, give the powerful impression about deep contemplative of human being .
Interested in creation of "Traditional Meme" and "Sarcastic Habitual", Boby’s often conveys a sense of Manipulation Media and Personal Insight by the Assembling, and connecting a lot of random information.
