About me
I like to look past the obvious, take an idea- be it scientific or natural and engage with it in a different way. take the thought or concept process it, break it down, explore it and recontextualize it. The challenge I set myself is to see beyond the idea, abstraction, cogitation, concept, image or impression in front of me and capture and explore its unique self within my vision. Some of my subjects are quite obscure, others more transparent.
My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more creatively at the world around them, to discover and adventure in the fundamental building blocks of life and science in unusual ways.
Work / Education
I have been a bassist, drummer and audio artist for over twenty years, often creating my own music in anything from jazz to hip hop. Self-taught, I have interest in all facets of life. A science nerd and nature lover at heart, I incorporate my love of scienceand nature into my concept development and visual arts, experimenting with various combinations of media to find the best mix. My interests have taken me to the world of gardening and horticulture experimentation, often supplying my own kitchen with nutrition. I am handy at most activities and enjoy the challenge of experimentation, learning and discovery. Museums, galleries and installations have been a driving force in my education as I soak in absorb the glory of art, old and new.
