Description
About me
I am a resident of Indianapolis Indiana but moved quite a bit with my family. The end result is a general curiosity in color and nature. I was also fascinated with architecture and history. I am currently exploring watercolor. I use anything I can to develop projects. This means any thing from watercolor pencils to pens and everything traditional associated in between with watercolor. My projects are often still life scenes that I've pulled together from my surroundings. I've been known to stop the car to take a quick photo for later inspiration. Suffering from a disability can often hinder my process and in those situations I may use words or colors as starting points for creativity.
Work / Education
I've worked in many different sales jobs that include fine china, collectables, handcrafted rugs and the list goes on.
I attended Indiana University located in Bloomington, Indiana in 1981. I wanted to be a social worker but as life would have it, some tragic events took place and I left that year.
Many years later I found myself a divorced mother of two kids who were entering high school. I wanted to recreate myself and attended The Arts Institute of Pittsburgh online division from 2010 through 2014. My interests were in interior design. I wanted to pursue a career in ecofriendly design when I became ill and could not continue.
I never stop growing or attempting to try new things. Recently, I had my first showing with a first Friday event in an area called Fountain Square in Indianapolis, Indiana.
