About me
Jacob Bravo aka Detalyii or locally known as Jeik is digital and self-taught visual artist who is currently residing in Iloilo City, Philippines.
He has been associated with various local art groups and organizations such as Hubon Ilonggo, Himbon Contemporary Artist’s Group, Artivism, Viva Excon Iloilo, Dakila and EarthingPh.
His works are mostly mixed media ranging from found objects, recycled materials, hard ware paint like enamel and latex, oil, acrylics and organic materials such as eggshells, leaves, flowers and sand which he incorporates in most of his works. His genres are a mix of abstract and surrealism which he does on sculptures and installations.
Currently he’s been busy participating in online art workshops and also in the local arts scene where he’s also mentoring a few students during his free time. Sometimes whenever he feels like it, he goes out taking documentary photographs and short video clips of whatever story he wants to create just to spice up his life as an artist.
Before he became a full time visual artist, Jacob previously engaged in photography workshops and sessions with fellow mentors and colleagues in the same field. He gained his audience thru means of documenting other artists works/exhibits and usually posting them on his Facebook page.
By participating in local activities such as Artivism and Earthing Ph, two local NGO’s (Non Government Organization) that focuses mainly on saving the natural world from Global Warming thru arts, music and creative social enterprise.
