About me
Emma Wood (b.1995) -Minneapolis MN
Her passion for art started at an early age. Experimenting with several mediums, such as acrylic, ceramics, oils, photography and tattooing.
Her work consists of primarily portrait paintings. Emphasizing color, emotion and symbolism. Inspired by nature and personal experience, she uses art as a tool of self-expression and self-healing. Focusing to make her work as a platform to voice awareness on various issues. Her recent works are influenced by gender, mycology and mental health.
She moved to Sweden after graduating Perpich Arts High School, on a pursuit for new opportunities and growth. After studying Konst ll at Liljeholmen Folkhögskola she decided to base herself in Ydre, Sweden.
Emma worked as a Resident Coordinator at Kultivera in Tranås. Operating cultural programs and hosting international residencies for artist which brings an inspiring atmosphere to pursue her future in art.
She plans to continue her studies in art and mycology.
