About me
Sketching and starving in Manila.
I sell my art at local conventions. I take on design and illustration gigs - from portrait sketches to multi-page layouts. I draw inspiration from movies, comics and shows I watched growing up - DC Vertigo's The Sandman, 90's anime+manga, & tv shows, 80's-00's music, oscar nominees and the occasional cult and arthouse films.
I try keep in touch with the times - be it in tech, social issues, art, etc. I'm more inclined to follow the styles I loved working on when I was younger, though I try to incorporate new subjects and techniques as the present calls for it.
Work / Education
Freelance Artist/Designer
Mostly self-taught, with a few short courses on graphic design.
Spent 7 years teaching character illustration/freehand drawing, photoshop, illustrator and indesign + basic design theory courses at a training school.
Portfolio consists mostly of illustrations, with some page layout, branding/logo design thrown in.
