Rafael La Madrid has been an artist for ten years. A graduate from the University of Santo Tomas; known for their traditional academic approach, he often depicts women in idyllic settings. La Madrid draws inspiration from the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood and the Impressionist art movements.
La Madrid has been active in the local art scene in the Philippines since graduating with a degree in Fine Arts in 2010. Based in Manila, Philippines, he has been part of numerous exhibitions and art fairs. In 2012, he was part of a contingent that was sent to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to hold exhibitions across the city.
La Madrid currently works as an art teacher. He is an emerging artist who is hoping to penetrate other markets primarily in the Southeast Asian region and is currently looking for representation.
