Shlomit Moria, after many years in the 2 dimensional world of graphic art, is now following her lifelong passion for the 3 dimensional medium of wood sculpture. . ‘I love the way the wood dictates the piece, the little bit of unpredictability fascinates me and reminds me to let the magic do its thing without trying to control it; wood is a living thing and it is an honour sculpting with it.”
Born in Israel and immigrated to Australia in 2003, Shlomit lives now in Warburton in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia surrounded with rain forest from which she draws her inspiration.

Work / Education
1997-2001 - Bachelor of Design First Class Honours. Vital - Shenkar School of Design, Tel Aviv Israel, four - year program run in conjunction with Middlesex University, London England.
After working as a graphic designer for 20 years shlomit decided to move into more 'hands-on' discipline.
Self tought in chainsaw and wood sculpture, she is now living her dream of being a full-time artist.
