Soukeyna Diop
Born in Dakar Senegal.
In 2014, she started art class at Hadiprana Jakarta. In 2016, took part in a group exhibition “ silent poetry” at Mitra Hadiprana Galeria in Jakarta.

“Tangled Freedom”

“Tangled freedom” draws its inspiration from the quest of freedom around the world. Attempts by some powerful nations to liberate oppressed people has typically come with disturbing collateral damage, resulting in instability, insecurity, and chaos. Those who have been promised freedom often find themselves trapped in an endless circle of manipulation, a pursuit of self-interest and geopolitical poisoning.
“Tangled freedom” is a way to express the dream of millions of ordinary people who are lost in their search for basic human rights and dignity.
To realize the piece, I have used mixed media and oil paint.
