About me
live in Banda Aceh as freelance illustrator and manage komunitas kanot bu (art community)
I am active in the komunitas kanot bu. the community base in Banda Aceh. I talk about Human right, fake politician and environmental on some art work.
My basic idea is Menolak jawai’, or rejecting jawai, is a phrase that i often uses as a reference in my work. in Acehnese language, jawai is used to explain a condition of forgetfulness, senility, or absent-mindedness, which often happens to older people.
Work / Education
was born on october 11, 1981, in pidie Jaya, Aceh. His last formal education was Diploma II of Secondary School Teacher Education (pGSD) at the Syiah Kuala University in Banda Aceh. Idrus is a co-founder of Komunitas Kanot Bu, an art community in Banda Aceh. In 2009, Idrus finished first place in a caricature competition held by the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Humanities; and second place in the Yap Thiam Hien Human Rights Poster competition in 2015.
