About me
Hi, my name's Thanos and I'm a Visual Artist.
I deal with all kinds of arts, mostly with painting, video and music. I experiment with both classical painting and illustration, as with comics and graphic design. I draw inspiration from the people around me, and especially from my closest, friends and family, while I concentrate on the rhythms, trends and lifestyles of modern times. I capture everyday moments trying to copy and attribute their beauty. My color options and aesthetics are mainly influenced by Expressionism, while I draw influences also from the Beat Generation and the Post-Punk culture.
I studied at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Western Macedonia in Greece, where I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree, while I also did some studies at the Ionian University at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts in Corfu Island, and also at KEA - Design Technology and Business Programme, in Copenhagen. Professionally I have worked as a graphic designer, video editor, storyboard artist in advertising agencies, and I have experience as a teacher, illustrator and musician. I also play in a band called "We Came From Waters".
