About me
“I am a person before I am anything else. I never say I am a writer, I never say I am an artist... I am a person who does all those things.” (Edward Gorey)
{ STORY }
I was born in 1997, in a southern Brazilian city, Porto Alegre, which literally translates to “Happy Port”.
In January 2016, I moved to Belgium with my family, seeking an adventure, to dive into a new culture, eager to learn. It’s inspiring and emotional, it’s beautiful and excitingly different. But still, I think it is really interesting to keep my roots and get insights from everything I know.
“We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are.”
(Anaiis Nin)
{ INSPIRATION }
I get inspired by everything that surrounds me. The people, nature, the sounds I hear, the scents I smell. Nevertheless, I also have a huge set of artists whose artworks I admire. Some of the important names for me are:
Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, Marina Abramovic, Wes Anderson, Woody Allen, Hayao Miyazaki,
The Beatles, the Police, U2, Jack Johnson, Led Zeppelin, Amy Winehouse, Santana, Adele, and the Brazilian Cássia Eller, Paralamas do Sucesso, Seu Jorge, Apanhador Só, Vanessa da Mata and Rita Lee. Oscar Niemeyer: the Brazilian architect, Antoni Gaudí, George Orwell, the Brazilian poet Paulo Leminski, Rumi, Irvin David Yalom, Michael Lipsey, André Oviedo, Mário Quintana, Erico Verissimo, Luís Fernando Verissimo, Gabriel García Márquez, Eduardo Galeano, Zygmunt Bauman.
As it is clear now, I am truly inspired by a myriad of things and people.
“Originality consists in returning back to the origin”

{ BACKGROUND }
I am certain that Brazil has a really rich and diversified culture, that’s why it appears in almost all of my current projects. However, the Belgian culture is being merged into my ideas, making them even more intense. Also, I have had the opportunity to travel a lot, so my view of the world is expanding with every trip. I hold, therefore, a huge gratitude for that.
I have always enjoyed making art and appreciating it, and now I’ve been studying it for two years. One year of Graphic Design in Brazil, and now one year of Visual Arts emphasising in Graphic Design here in Belgium. I can say that, in a different country and a different school, I learn at least one thing a day.
I love many art forms. Cinema, painting, poetry, sculpture, architecture, collage, music, drawing. The art form I most enjoy making is collages. It is a way of giving images a new meaning. Placing them in a way another person wouldn’t have thought of. Navigating through the pages of magazines looking for something, or anything. Expressing beliefs and
notions, thoughts and emotions with scraps of paper. Playing with the real and the surreal.
I've exhibited my work twice: one time in my hometown and one time in Belgium. Both were collective exhibitions.
