About me
Born 1988, Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia.
Since I like to travel, experiencing different life in the nature has been part of my series of art. I was fascinated by the notch in the soil, and tried to analyze it. I took photos, to record the traveler's footsteps. I constructed my own views which link art to the philosophy of my life. I often observe a walk in daily life, to get the idea in processing my art work. Since I grew up in the countryside, I was fascinated to find plants that I have never seen before.
My creation started off after careful observation of plants in the nature. Experience gathered through these observations has made me analyze the communication among human beings. Five years of study life in Taiwan Tunghai University which is like a tropical rainforest environment has help me to capture the visual language into my creation.
The specialties of ceramics are the temperature of hand kneading, decoration on the surface of the clay and changes in two times firing which cannot be replaced. The inspiration of my creation comes from every aspect of life. The art work reflects my response to our surrounding environment. From observing the tiny livings, I started to view the society in a different perspective. Through my work I projected my expectation to the world by weaving my thoughts and transforming them into beautiful sceneries of my life.
My initial creative motivation began from the process of art. I used recycled clay which was rejected by students from ceramics workshops. Clay for me has irreplaceable qualities of a medium; it is the most delicate and flexible part of the soil which fascinated me.
