Description
Seeing. See reality through unconsciousness and dreams..
Dream: Seeing the absurdness of reality through the dreams and memories of ordinary life, which follow the eyes inside of the mind.
1. Always there are “humans” at the center of my work. My work is an introspection about their insides, communicative methods, and relationships.
The duplicity of a human, which makes a human confirm incessantly along with a relationship with desire and deficiency, stems from uncertainty in seeing and the ambiguity and conflicts in life. The gap between truth and lies. In the border given by any society, it discovers absurdity and it appears through a story in a dream with a gaze from the division of bizarre and ruptured eyes. They are led to a deep abyss while being broken or opened through my unconsciousness.
2. Seeing. A train of desire and deficiency, headed to a dream.
Is seeing knowing or is knowing power? Duplicity of seeing and unseeing. I began to feel confident that there is a big correlation between truth and lies inside duplicity, the betrayal of eyes, skepticism in seeing a certain thing, and the appearance of the inside of a human and the seeing of the inside, which I came to feel assured of from a certain moment without my knowing it.
Seeing and gazing on that is being shown is a suddenly discovered experience in the form of mysterious coincidence in our views. Because of gazing, a human has endless desire, and desire is a driving force in living a life. All desires are unable to be captured; therefore, they accompany deficiency. For this reason, we need an illusion. The space of the greatest illusion for me is a dream and I see the deficiency and desire in reality through the dream. Dream and an illusion are means by which a subject lives a life. A dream is also the extension of unconsciousness given by reality. A dream is a way out of our spirit, which enables us to breathe, and an encounter with another world. We dream a reality that we are unable to experience, but it is also the extension of unconsciousness given by reality. Each of such strange and bizarre stories tells another reality; thereby, a dream is another world that tells the overall relationship and history of humans.
3. Beauty is always bizarre. (Le beau est toujours bizarre) -Baudelaire-
According to modernity as defined by Baudelaire, modernity is a temporality, a momentariness and a coincidence. The expressions said by him of beauty, which is temporal, changeable, and undoubtedly whimsical, exhibit the definition of today’s beauty. How whimsical and changeable beauty is? It means that beauty contains a little bizzareness, which is accidentally created, innocent, and unintentional and unconscious bizzareness. Herein, bizarre by Baudelaire is the factor of spirituality with which one pursues pure art with various types of and greatly changeable beauty. This theory by Baudelaire highly inspired my work and I sympathize with this theory.
Recent work frequently depicts the appearance of nature in a dream. While climbing the mountain, I learned how to thank and revere nature. The color of tree bark, the shape of leaves, water drops, flowers, and various animals and plants all fascinate me. They softly swim and appear as if they are spread, and, yet, they are near us without our knowing it. They come near to us as white, yet, black, yet, blue, yet, red waves.
Desire we are dreaming of all stems from the absence and/or deficiency of reality.
An illusion offers a unique pleasure to a desire. – Jaques Lacan -
