I started this series early 2016. There has been a lot of discussion about gender discrimination, but no one really explore gender indifferences. Whilst I had a conceptual vision in mind, I have no vision as to how this series would look like. The only guidance I gave myself was the single colour for each piece; superficial it may sound smile emoticon The outcome of this series is 3 pieces that bear 'definite lines with indefinite composition'. My humble body of work often solicit a feeling; this one gives me a sense of surreal feeling; not sure how it makes you feel.
About myself: I left behind art for many years due to work and circumstances. Leaving my home land for work, created a void and a sense of loneliness in a foreign land. I seek escapism, or rather expression through art. Most of my pieces reflect my state of feelings (less about state of mind) at that point in time. Many say it is (momentarily) a window into my soul. I love working on smaller pieces, containing my repetition of strokes; and the ability to complete something, encourages me to do more. I need that self-encouragement to perpetuate my pursuit for art. I do not want to ever leave it again. #BBuzzShowJakarta
