Here is a kinetic sculpture fabricated from all borosilicate glass. I made a fux wooden box out of vinyl to set over the rotating jig for display purposes.
This piece was meant to be an homage to trees. Often in life we go about out daily life without appreciating the nature around us and the earth that houses us and give us a place to life. We relentlessly strip Mother Nature of its resources as it constantly gives to us. Most importantly trees give us wood for our houses and oxygen for us to breathe. So here is my homage to wood and trees without using any of it.
