To Muddy Death
Description
A self-directed piece that is three layers of silkscreens and layered on top of a lightbox. Each layer is painted on differently: a layer with the painting of Ophelia and two layers that black ink was spilled over. This piece was meant to depict Ophelia's famous death in Shakespeare's play, Hamlet, keeping a romanticised feel that Ophelia's death was described out to be, but also add a few layers of darkness and goriness that inevitably happens to the dead.
