Abstract Egret
Description
My first oil painting (started in March 2015). It's an egret on a stump, over-looking the water. Choosing to paint in this style was somewhat experimental. I am a self-taught artist and still new to painting. With this painting I fell in love with oils!

Your skills are amazing! Even though it's your first attempt, it really shows your talent.
I get a freeing feeling when I look at this painting I don't know why.. Perhaps it's because it's structured yet it's got movement.

Lovely and said at the same time. Almost an anorexia egret.
A fragmented image of a tormented egret! Nice

Ailee Innes I identify with the egret, in that they are often loners and enjoy their own company. The egret is symbolic of independence and balance. I feel like this image shows comfortable balance amidst an environment that some may see through a lens as chaotic. :)

Was there anything you wanted to express in your work? I mean like any message or something?

Thank you Ailee! I did only pencil for years! Great practice for proportaion, space, shape, etc. The egret series was somewhat experimental for me. I love how they turned out! Thanks for the feedback!! :)
