[Behind Popularity] My Bed by Tracey Emin
Description
Tracey Emin is known for her autobiographical work inviting a viewer to the intimate and confessional realm of emotions. Her works have been critically acclaimed and internationally presented leading her to the position at the Royal Academy in 2011 as one of two female professors since the academy was founded in 1768. However, before recognizing her success as an artist, we must acknowledge her audaciousness. She was raped at the age of 13 and documented this tragic event as well as many awakening moments in life through her meticulous body of works. It is perfectly fine to be honest with your art. Before art manifests a grand idea, it is a presentation of who you are as a person. BBuzzArt believes in your passion for art and that is the art that we believe!

The contents are definitely feminist. In contrary the style and mood are more outdated and empty.

senseless? is this how a victim of a rape feels? because I feel that I can not feel, when I am looking at this picture.

The artist’s intention seems clear when I observed this art in depth. The style is abstract, the contents are poetic and thus the mood becomes more relaxed.

The pessimistic contents are well illustrated in comfortable atmosphere and extreme style.

The first impression of this art is rather authentic. Definitely, I like its humanistic contents and calm tone.
