“Tangled freedom” draws its inspiration from the quest of freedom around the world. Attempts by some powerful nations to liberate oppressed people has typically come with disturbing collateral damage, resulting in instability, insecurity and chaos. Those who have been promised freedom often find themselves trapped in an endless circle of manipulation, pursuit of self-interest and geopolitical poisoning.
“Tangled freedom” is a way to express the dream of millions of ordinary people who are lost in their search of basic human rights and dignity.
To realize the piece, I have used mixed media and oil paint.
