Isang Suring-Basa (A Book Review)
Description
The painting is an intellectual and honest discussion between different Philippine heroes from different eras. The 2 sides represent the heroes who fought for the Philippines freedom with the pen (left side), and those with the sword (right side). KKK stands for Kataastaasan, Kagalanggalangang Katipunan ng mga Anak ng Bayan (Supreme and Most Honorable Society of the Children of the Nation). They are having a book review of the Philippine National Hero, Jose Rizal's 2 novels Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, which at the time talks about current events, about the injustices Filipinos was in under the Spanish era. The 2 novels also represent in our current times. Despite the 2 sides having different approach, the both have something in common which is love for country. We all need an honest and intellectual discussion about the important topics of our society.

Great concept! If this were a Philippine history book, it's the kind of book non-scholars would enjoy reading, despite its deep and serious theme. :)
