My main body of work right now consists of portraying the female beauty. When I asked Lais to take her picture I wanted to challenge myself with something that I was afraid of doing. Lais is a friend of mine, and a very strong woman, I really respect her and I am also very inspired by her. I chose to shoot her at the top of a very tall building. 35 Floors to be exact. I am really afraid of heights and I usually get vertigo, feel dizzy and weak whenever I am at a tall position. On the day of the shooting, it was especially windy for my hometown, so the whole shoot for me worked as a personal challenge. I'm so glad I went through this. Working with Lais was so inspiring that I felt calm and peaceful, the exact feeling I wanted to work with. This is precisely why I love working with women. Every single shoot is a different, personal experience, and I always learn more about myself. This series is shot with 35mm and medium format film.
