Traveling around the United Arab Emirates, we were on the lookout for the oasis. Seeing the entirety of the desert from the window pane of the bus we rode, we couldn't seem to find the oasis. It felt like a metaphor, a juxtaposition of our position in life as artists. Seeking for purpose in art and in life, we were also looking for our own oasis — not just as travellers traveling to see the world, but also souls seeking refuge.
