The artist wants to explore the value and meaning, and the role of art as truth. This was done by converging pop culture into the Malay folklore. We are taught to believe that the tales are part of history as we were growing up. It was written in our school books. The artist wants to use this series to have dialogues with the public view of Malaya historical tales if elements from modern culture are added into it historical settings. Is the story still as mythical as what you’re seeing?
