The goal of this piece was to create a simple elegance that is often the allure hikers and nature lovers find in the quiet of wandering alone in a forest. And, of course, my love for bold color and stark distinctions plays well into this fanciful forest surroundings.
Tho it is calm and peaceful, this piece was created in a time of my life that could not be more chaotic. My longing for vibrancy and peace mixed with beauty is blatantly obvious. It was in these moments that I would look at my creations to prove to myself that that beauty and peace was still inside me, buried deep down, but still there and not going anywhere no matter the pain of life.
