This painting of Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes was my very first painting done in traditional style using digital media and the very first painting were I was able to discover my personal style. For this painting I wanted to create a mix of realism and impressionism using digital media and to my surprise after approximately 30 hrs. of work on this painting I was content with the quality I achieved in the past 6 years of practicing and studying portraiture.
