Description
My painting is simple to visualize how the work of a media, especially social media in which we certainly do not know whether the information circulating is true or not. Media seems to be something real that its users can easily participate, share, and create a content. Media has intellectual kekayan in the public and become a medium for interested parties in it that allows humans to interact with each other without being limited space and time. The impact is felt in real life, both positive and negative impacts. But unknowingly, social media users tend to interact with people who have the same interests as themselves. The false news that circulates in social media, becomes great when it is picked up by sites or prominent actors who have many followers. In the end the sophistication of a media flows in vain because of useless information.
With this painting, I hope people have the ability to understand, analyze, and deconstruct media imagery so that we are critical and selective in receiving information and can be wise in using the media.
