The processes makes use of altered histories to reconfigure the surface detail of an object. From a primitive object (like a cube or sphere) I can apply gestural manipulations to its shape, all of which are remembered as mathmatical transformations by the computer. When changing the paramaters of early decisions by arbitrary numerical values the knock on effect becomes monumental. This method of shape generation creates a unique class of virtual object that can morph between unrecognisable states within single iterrations.
Reflecting on chaos and unpredictablity I am drawn to think of the American Abstract Expressionists of the 20th Century, readdressed in the contemporary frame of fast digital generation.
