After a dry spell of creativity, I had a really good creative day. My partner and I were watching a David Attenborough narrated nature series, of which there are a few. An episode was running that featured the migration of the monarch butterflies. There was a shot caught on the camera of the monarchs, huddled up together on a tree, like a beard.

I didn't originally plan to add the violin into the scene, but I thought as I was gathering reference photos to compose it that it might add a whole bunch emotion into it.

One of the other ideas I had was for Billy the Kid, which I have already uploaded here. Another is still on the easel.
