I ride the train a lot, cross country to visit family. The scenery is spectacular, but one of the scenes I most like to see is a small farm. I love the repetition of the furrows, and after admiring the physical appearance of the farm, I find myself being thankful-- for the food we eat every day, as well as the many other products that get their beginning in a farmer's labors.

This painting could easily have been called "A Job Well Done" because when the crops are harvested for the year, that is a fact we all recognize and give thanks for.
