For this particular piece, I was inspired by Japanese aesthetics and Zen Buddhism. I had an image that came to me of gold bars on a black background. There is a sense of rain falling which I have always thought has a cleansing effect on the soul. Rain gives life and it may be said to heal us. Some may see rain as gloomy and somewhat melancholy, but I like it when it rains and I also like a dark, cool evening. This piece will look great with your Asian artifacts or in your living room where it will make a bold statement.
