Medusa’s story is one of a powerful woman raped, demonized, then slain by a patriarchal society.

She is, simultaneously a symbol of women’s rage and a figure sexualized by the very patriarchal forces she is seeking vengeance against.

Therefore she belongs to my collection of Female Sinners.
