The color palette was the first thing that was chosen for this work. This composition intends to interpret light coming through the surface of water as viewed from below. The medium is acrylic and the technique is impasto palette knife. A thin layer of varnish was used to protect as well as bring out the vibrance in the otherwise matte acrylic finish.
