Crochet Buffalo Skull
Description
This piece initiated as an experimental project where I was consumed by the process. I was engaged by crocheting a variety of fibers (such as acrylic, wool, hemp, cotton, etc...) In multiple layers and dimensions. Then, after I took some reflection, it became a piece of self discovery. It's abstract but I see the shape of a buffalo skull. That made my think of the early photograph of when bafflo were over hunted against the Native Americans and there was a man sitting on a mountain of buffalo skulls. This way very first piece when I began pursuing fiber arts as my art medium.
