Original work made in oil on canvas. The preparation of the canvas by the artist has been carefully studied in order to obtain more brilliant and opaque colors, therefore functional to the naturalistic representation of the landscape with its multitude of colors and shades. The artist has chosen the observation point from the top of the roofs of the palaces on the lagoon, in order to bring out the play of the reflections of the sky on the water that here offers various colors and shades on a sunny but very clear day. The artist has captured the loneliness of Venice of the year 2020, caused by the pandemic. The image of the city is emptied of the usual swarm of boats and people, in a silent atmosphere that highlights the charm of nature.
