Living in the discrepancy between my reality and the intangible Utopia triggers my art, and it draws me to compose a sweeping world of images that has been culled from personal history into an unsettling present. My inspiration also lies in pop-culture and paintings from Romantic Period. I find the notions of the melancholic and the fantastic very intriguing. These ideas lead me to explore the fragments of my psyche in order to construct Fantastical Narratives, where innocence and wonder coexist with vulnerability, and nostalgic fever.
