I was inspired by the Egyptian myth of Anubis weighing everyone's heart after their death. In the myth, you heart is weighed against a feather. If your heart is heavier than the feather, then it gets fed to a crocodile monster. If they are equal, then your soul gets to move on into the afterlife.
